Educational seminars from over twenty-five photography professionals, inspirational keynote presentations, and networking opportunities with the global photographic community.
Oftentimes, photographers are visual storytellers, believing themselves to be weak with words, or feeling words to be unnecessary when creating images—misconceptions which arise from a lack of clarity regarding one’s work.
Join National Geographic photographer Kiliii Yuyan in discovering the Rosetta Stone of your photography as he teaches you how to truly move people through the use of words, whether it’s an artist statement, informative article, or live presentation. Reveal new insights about humanity and the world by deconstructing your work into concepts and ideas, exploring your origin story, and connecting it all to create images which resonate deeply with your audience.
Kiliii Yuyan, a photographer of Hèzhé (East Asian Indigenous) and Chinese descent, creates photographic stories for National Geographic and other major publications. In 2023, he received the National Geographic Eliza Scidmore Award for Outstanding Storytelling and was named one of PDN’s 30 top photographers in 2019. His work is featured in the Boston Museum of Fine Arts and the Amon Carter Museum, and he educates and inspires through global speaking events.
